Introduction To K-pop & Rain

In 2006, when i was 14,
I started noticing Korean idol, Rain.

I started watching his live performances and till this day,my favourite song is still "Shunning the sun (remix) " . By him. I also like "Bad Boy" . "it's raining", "Instead of goodbye" and "I do"

Those old classics of Rain ...

In the past, k-pop wasn't that popular so it was impossible to know what he was singing. I just loved his voice .

Because we didn't have eng subs, we only listened and learned to sing in Korean. But I have no idea what I was singing to. Haha.

DBSK aka Damn Bloody Sexy Koreans

At the age of 16,
Rain's fever had been dying down because he is dabbling in the acting industry so I support him through TV series.
But I need a new Korean idol to quench my thirst for Korean music.

I started to notice the gods of Korea. Dong bang shin ki. I call them damn bloody sexy Koreans.
Hahaha. I know the name is cheesy but it isn't because it's DBSK. They are the living symbol of Korea.

What drew me in??
Or rather, WHO??

KIM JAE JOONG.
When I first saw him. I fell in love, literally.
I am a big fan of manga and I have cupboards full of manga I bought.

And as a manga fan, what turn me on more than manga hotties??
Jaejoong is like a living breathing manga character who has the most angelic face I have ever seen and an even angelic voice to go with it.
I spammed myself to DBSK's songs and I fell in love at every single song I listen to.

By this time, I have already begun to be a major k-pop fan long before the Korean fever hit anyone around me.

I listen to artists most new k-poppers might not even heard of. Wheesung, Lexy, Se7en , BoA, Taebin, Shinhwa, 1TYM , H.O.T. hyori Lee, Paran, Joosuk, Koyote, Jewellery, XR, Cherry Filter and many many more.

I used to keep tabs on HOT, Jewellery , Taebin and Wheesung. Until DBSK .
Or rather, JaeJoong.
I am now a Cassie, & Cloud.

Look at these pictures and tell me jaejoong isn't a masterpiece from heaven. LOL.

When mirotic came out my bias changed. ><
JUNG YUNHO.

He isn't the best singer. But he has charisma.
I was so mesmerized and so in love I started collecting DBSK related items.
But my money is tight as I am a hardcore gamer at that time and most of my allowance was spent on visiting lanshops..

Big Bang & Wonder girls
In year 2008, Korea fever is starting to rise. WonderBang is trending all around me. My friends around me are VIPs & wonderfuls .
Even thou I know Big Bang's and Wondergirls music, I never considered myself to be a VIP or a wonderful.
I don't know why. Even thou I have individual bias in those groups, ( TOP & Sohee) I never love them as much as yunho.

It's like Yunho got 99.9% of my heart and Sohee & TOP is sharing that 0.1% .
By this time, I am no longer a cloud although I did sneak into the theatres to watch "Ninja Assasin" .
It was M18, but I'm 16/17 at that time. Hahaa.

Sometime around 2009.
A devastating news broke out. Jaejoong, Yoochon and Junsu sued SME...
Saphix and I tried hard to stay in the fandom but our hearts were obviously not with JYJ.
We love them. We really do.
But it's not possible to love them without bitter feelings.
My bias is Yunho, saphix's bias is Changmin.
No matter how hard we try to lie to ourselves, we are already "Stands".
Stands are a term by Cassie's to determine that we are not Cassie because we only support one group.
I had a hard time over this because I consider myself very much a Cassie.
But my heart tells me otherwise.

SHINee
For awhile I have been committing myself to loving another group.
But Big Bang doesn't have the vocal talents I that I love in DBSK.
JongHyun comes close but it doesn't really work as I only like him.
In DBSK, even if Micky is the last member I love, I can still spazz over his manly ways, junsu's beautiful vocal, jaejoong's angelic voice, Changmin's powerful vocals and yunho with that charismatic smile.

But there is nothing to go back to now.
The DBSK I love, Cassie fandom I once knew. Is no longer the one I know.

U-kiss and present

Last year, I listened to "Neverland". And I fell in love with this hottie in the MV
LEE KISEOP

I have noticed U-kiss in Mworago.
But I was like, MEH. DBSK is way better.
After Neverland, I started noticing Kevin and Kiseop.
Soohyun's vocals kept me intrigued
And I start watching their live performances to see how good were their vocals.
And I start watching their Variety Shows.

First variety show " Idol Cam"
I instantaneously became a SHIN DONGHO bias.

Also was quite shocked to not see  JAESEOP in Idol Cam because I remembered seeing him in "Neverland" .

So I searched U-kiss on Wikipedia.

I have loved this beautiful maknae in Paran. Actually, he is the only one I've loved in Paran. Haha.

The only thing which was quite saddening was that Hot KIBUM is no longer in U-kiss!
Wuwuwu...

By this time, saphix and I was hooked onto U-kiss. We downloaded their songs and I became SooHyun Biased.
His. voice is the sexiest thing I've ever heard on earth. OMGOMGOMG..
I fell in love with SHIN SOOHYUN more and more every single day. Especially in U-kiss Vampire where he ha a fake date with this girl.
And he is such a loving boyfriend.
It's as thou he will protect me in times of need.

Chef Kiss & Ultimate Bias

I fell in love with this guy over here.
ELLISON KIM KYOUNGJAE

He is my 2nd bias and had not surpass Soo Hyun for one reason.

I like Soohyun because of his voice . And also the reason is because he can protect me.
But Eli have been missing the vocal thing. I guess it can't be helped since he is the rapper...
But in chef kiss.
Eli surpassed soohyun in one thing.
The ability to protect and love me forever.
Soohyun have been giving me a type of feeling like a hongster(flirt).
I don't hate it. But I want a prince who only belongs to me. (I'm not saying Eli does but at least he doesn't give off a "I'll leave you for her anytime" feeling.)

I love especially how Eli takes care of Kevin. And I always imagine it to be myself.
How wonderful it would be to date Eli.
And a man who can cook.!! Oh my oh my.
I'll never starve. Hahahahah.

Because of this, I have been anti-ing couples. (Like yunjae... ) I had actually became a shipper of ELVIN! OMGGG.
They shook my world upside down and change my morals everywhere.

There was only one problem.
Hoon. I dont like him. He replaced kibum. He is not even as hot as he is. What the fuck.

But then slowly I realized that Hoon never replaced kibum. Kibum can never be replaced. And partly ales because Hoon have a sexy body. LOL..
Hoon tweeted as thou KissMes was his girlfriend and how he wanted to protect us.

I never hate Xander neither do I love him. But after the fan meeting in Singapore, I fell in love with Xander all over again.

Which brings me to conclude why I love U-kiss so much more than DBSK.
U-kiss gives a very down to earth feeling instead of a high and mighty prince feeling from DBSK. It is so very possible to date someone in U-kiss rather than DBSK.

And KissMes are one of the best fans I've ever met. I've never forged any Cassie friendship before as everyone is selfish for themselves( including me) and I didn't know how good it would make me feel to share U-kiss.
It is a very proud thing to let people know that I'm in love with my idol and not get laughed or made fun off.

Sorry for this long-ass post. But this of my road to k-pop and I hope to stay.
