Dear Catherine,

I am an avid reader of the New Paper and I am shocked and disgusted when I read your article on Taylor Swift.
It would have been fine if your article was not biased and actually provided facts and reasons why she should stop playing the victim instead of the usual lousy excuses on Twitter that ANY fan of Taylor could easily refute.

How misinformed your article must be for people who do not know Taylor Swift !

I quote Taylor's representative releasing this statement after Famous song was released.

"Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’ "

You conveniently did not mention the second part of her rep's official statement misguiding readers to think that Taylor is a lying bitch when in actual fact Taylor was never o.k. with being called a Bitch.

How is Taylor being "two-faced"??? When the call was made, Taylor was on friendly terms with Kanye. Put yourself in Taylor's shoes, she writes about her life and emotions in her songs how can she deny or tell Kanye to remove that line "I think me and Taylor might still have sex"??

In her mind, Kanye was actually being really nice to call and inform her about this lyric and even after the incident with Kanye in 2009, Taylor strongly expressed in an interview that she was excited when Kanye got on stage, and the reason why? " Thats Kanye West" she replied.
Implying that she was a fan at that time and when Kanye apologized, she accepted it and even became friends with her idol.

If your idol ever calls you telling you, you would be in a line in his song... even if you were uncomfortable with - having sex with said idol, wouldn't YOU have replied the same way? It would be her fault if she started going all dramatic and shit too, so its a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation and I can't believe New Paper would even APPROVE of your article just based on this alone.

"Me and Taylor might still have sex" is DEFINITELY less derogatory than being called a BITCH!
In the first sentence, said person implies that he and Taylor may still have consented sex.
While the term Bitch in itself is derogatory .

How can you compare those two being on equal standing is beyond me.

In fact, in the phone conversation, it clearly proves that Taylor was right and that Kanye never played the song for her at all. How can you dispute her statement just because you were biased in your judgement? Have you perhaps, heard or seen another recording of the conversation and actually heard the song being played to Taylor before its release?

I quote another sentence in your article,
"Just last week, you tried to bully your ex boyfriend too"

Seriously? Where is the link, source of anything that showed Taylor bullying Calvin? Her reps merely confirmed rumors that Taylor wrote lyrics for the song and suddenly she is bullying Calvin ??? What the hell?

Where did her reps "tried to make it look like Taylor was the brains behind his latest hit single"? WHERE did you see it? They simply confirmed she had a part in it. How can you not once, but twice misinform and misguide readers this way?
How can anyone deny Taylor her credit in her role in the song? How can you conveniently exclude that Calvin banned his ex Rita Ora from performing a track they produced together? How is it right that we bash someone who is not stealing, not cheating but actually claiming her ACTUAL work that she did and say she is trying to be anything less than that is beyond me.

Taylor Swift has been busy touring the world with Tom Hiddleston and has not made any official statement until Kim posted an illegal recording of the phone conversation.
How can you insinuate that she started anything and made enemies "left, right, and centre"?

Your own biased opinions should not have been bought onto the article and you should been reported based on facts.

If in fact, you can convince and proof why Taylor is playing victim, I would not have been outraged by the blatant lies you put on The New Paper.

I sincerely hope you would have the decency to correct your article with an apology for misinforming readers .
I do not harbour any ill-feeling towards you and look forward to you convincing me, that Taylor is not a victim.

Also, we have to stop shaming women who are successful.
Perhaps you should read this article from the guardian and hopefully, understand which side I am rooting for.

Not Taylor Swift. Not Calvin Harris. But the need to not shame women for their success or put them in their place.

Thank you.
